RAP shortlisted for three Sammies
April 11, 2017
We’ve been shortlisted for three awards at this year’s “Sammies” – and we’re over the moon. We’re in the running for:
- The BSA Technical Excellence Award – for our Technical Team and the development of the Freshpack Plus carton sandwich wedge
- The Food-to-Go Innovation Award – for our Pret Hot HandRap.
- The New Sandwich Product Award – for the Freshpack Plus carton sandwich wedge.
The winners will be announced on 11 May
The British Sandwich Industry Ceremony is held on May 11 at the Lancaster London Hotel, Hyde Park. So we’ve got a month of nail biting waiting until the big day.
We’ll be getting dressed up for this prestigious event in the food-to-go calendar, where we’ve enjoyed past successes in the New Sandwich Product of the Year for the MA carton sandwich wedge.
Our Technical Team deserve special recognition
It’s the first year that the Sammies have introduced the award for technical excellence. And we’re delighted to have the opportunity to shout about our incredible team – headed up by Dr Richard Paradine – who thoroughly deserve some publicity.
Responsible for leading on the Freshpack Plus project, the team has created a system that delivers real benefits for manufacturers and retailers.
Graham Williams, CEO for RAP, said: “The Sammies represents everything that is great about our industry as it recognises everyone from independent sandwich makers through to retailers, designers and manufacturers.”
“At RAP we work tirelessly to bring solutions to the food-to-go market that enhance our customers’ offerings. I’m particularly proud our Technical Team has been shortlisted as this is the hub of thought creation and where ideas come to life to improve shelf-life, quality and sustainability.”
RAP founder, Julian Money, who heads up the technical and design teams said: “These nominations are testament to the hard work and design capabilities displayed by our creative teams.”
“Freshpack Plus is unique to RAP and once again demonstrates how we adapt to meet market needs.”
We’ll be keeping everything crossed until May 11!Retour aux articles
